On Friday night, February 20^th, the first night of a 3 day event there will be a progressive dinner. Diners will enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride through the area on a historical tour as well as see the sculptures lit up as they stop at various locations for the courses of their dinner. Cost for the dinner is $75/person and seating is limited to 24, so get your paid reservations in early. Last year’s dinner sold out quickly.

Held on Saturday, February 21^st, of the 3 day event, there will be a snowman contest held in front of the Oakland Train Station in the large open area near the stage.

Whatever the weather, this yearly event is meant to provide residents and visitors an opportunity for a break from the winter blahs.

Oakland Main Street/GOBA will be holding its 2^nd Annual WINTERFEST on February 20^th thru 22^nd, 2009.

This years WinterFest will include over 30 ice sculptures in a four block area of Downtown Oakland along Alder, Second and Liberty Streets.
