On Friday night, February 20th, the first night of a 3 day event there will be a progressive dinner. Diners will enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride through the area on a historical tour as well as see the sculptures lit up as they stop at various locations for the courses of their dinner. Cost for the dinner is $75/person and seating is limited to 24, so get your paid reservations in early. Last year’s dinner sold out quickly. |

Whatever the weather, this yearly event is meant to provide residents and visitors an opportunity for a break from the winter blahs. Held on Saturday, February 21st, of the 3 day event, there will be a snowman contest held in front of the Oakland Train Station in the large open area near the stage. |

February 20th thru 22nd Maryland’s #1 Premier Ice Festival Whatever the weather, this yearly event is meant to provide residents and visitors an opportunity for a break from the winter blahs. Oakland Main Street/GOBA will be holding its 2nd Annual WINTERFEST on February 20th thru 22nd, 2009. This years WinterFest will include over 30 ice sculptures in a four block area of Downtown Oakland along Alder, Second and Liberty Streets. |
